I'm Jonnie. I work in the Swedish forest industry, where most of my hands-on knowledge lives, and I build software in my own time. I'm self-taught, with no formal background in development, just a genuine pull toward technology and a habit of taking things apart to see how they work.

The way I learn is by building tools I actually need, then putting them to work in real environments. That's how my main projects came about. Podsol is a platform for Swedish forest data in the Forestand standard, for importing, validating, storing, and exporting it with a provable round-trip. Kärnved is the engine behind it, a Rust and Python pipeline that detects individual trees from LiDAR. They came from real problems in a field I know well.

I like working close to the data, caring about correctness, and making fast things that earn their keep. If it's at the intersection of the forest and good software, I'm probably interested.
